Rita Singh
Our team is led by Mrs Rita Singh, an educator with over 35 years of experience and National CBSE awardee. She has been a School Ambassador for British Council and mentor with Asia Education Foundation, Master Trainer with CBSE, Trainer for Value Education, facilitator for KGBV (Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas), a Trainer for Telangana Govt Teachers in Core Skills as part of British Council, has mentored students from underprivileged backgrounds and has mentored government schools (Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas) in UP. She is an advocate of Sustainable Development Goals and a Kindness Ambassador with SDGChaupal and Member of Global Education Leaders’ Partnership (GELP), Australia. She has wide experience in education at all levels, from teaching to having been Director of a large group of institutions. She has partnered with educational institutions in the UK and Switzerland, and has studied multiple education systems through visits to countries like Germany, Australia, US, Kenya and Hong Kong. Her special interest is in comparative pedagogy and in a multidisciplinary approach to education. She has received many national and international awards over the years. She has been taking special interest also in educating the most underprivileged, for who she has run an evening school for several years.
With her is a team of dedicated professionals in education, information technology, child psychology and a number of allied issues.
Salil Singh
Salil Singh is an internationally acclaimed coach and trainer who has trained in six countries and over two hundred schools in India. He has worked on student’s speaking and listening, critical thinking, leadership, global citizenship and collaborative skills for over a decade through disciplines like debate, theater, writing etc. Having been in the alternate education field in various initiatives since 2010, he brings a wealth of experience and knowhow to the team.
Having won the World Scholar’s Cup Coach of the year award in 2014 at Singapore; he established Behes that same year, with the express aim of bringing debate and public speaking to as many schools and students in India as possible. Today, Behes is India’s largest school debate platform, connecting 10,000+ students and 600+ schools from five countries. He also founded Counterpoint EduLabs in 2017, developing his pedagogy by organizing training programs at over a hundred schools.
Salil has always been a vociferous advocate for change in education and champions the values behind AanganChaura; believing that the keys to a child’s education, especially in the foundation stages, should be held by their parents.

Ameeta Mulla Wattal
Dr. Ameeta Mulla Wattal is the Former Chairperson of the National Progressive Schools’ Conference, and Chairperson and Executive Director Education – DLF Foundation Schools · DLF Foundation – India, Chairperson & Executive Director Education, Innovations and Training- DLF Foundation Schools and Scholarship Programmes.
She has worked in the sphere of Education for over four decades. She is a recipient of the prestigious National Teachers Award 2005 from Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, the Endeavour Award 2009 – 10, from the Australian government for her work in the area of Asia Literacy etc.
Dr. Wattal is a member of the panel of experts at the Oslo Coalition, at the Nobel Institute. She is on the UNESCO committee in Geneva for education of peace and human rights. She is on several expert committees both nationally and internationally, like Member of the Council for National Council of Teacher Education, Member of the Executive Council of NCERT, Government of India, Member of the Governing Body of the Board of Central Board of Secondary Education, Member of the Delhi School Education Advisory Board, Government of New Delhi, Member of a Committee of NCTE to review certain regulatory functions and a Lead Member in the Global Leaders Education Programme, a 15-country initiative, which is supported by the CBSE.
Neil Barker
Neil is the former Director of the Bastow Institute of Educational Leadership based in Melbourne, Australia.
He has long and varied career in the education sector, spanning more than 37 years, and is a Fellow of the Australian Council for Educational Leaders.
He has worked as an educator in juvenile justice settings, specialist and primary schools, and at the Zoo Education Service in Victoria. He has undertaken education roles in Emergency Management, in the Not for Profit sector, and in education policy.
Neil was Principal at Wales Street Primary School between 1997 and 2007 and developed the school’s reputation for developing students as independent learners.
He was Director of the Bastow Institute of Educational Leadership between 2014 and 2019, and led significant growth of the Institute, including increasing participation by more than 200%, expanding program reach into rural areas, introducing online learning, and extending professional learning provision into system leadership. As Director he expanded Bastow’s educational leadership engagement nationally and internationally, including leading the development of a network of educational leadership institutes.
Neil is now engaged in several national and international education initiatives through his own private practice, writing about the power of collective leadership in schools and is involved in the development of a number of performing arts projects as a part of a creative arts collective.
Tannu Malik
Prof. Tannu Malik is working in NCERT since 2004 in the Department of Education in Social Science. She has done Masters and Doctoral studies at Maharshi Dayanand University Rohtak, Haryana. Since her appointment at NCERT, she has been working in the areas of curriculum, syllabus and text book development, evaluation, training, research and consultancy related to teacher education and school education.
Prof Tannu Malik is also involved in the analysis and review of curriculum and various other curricular materials developed by states. She was coordinator and author of 14 geography textbooks brought out by NCERT following the NCF 2005. She has developed various training manuals and refresher course materials. Her publications apart from research papers and textbooks include Project books on Environment, Disaster Management, Exemplar Package on CCE for Social Sciences, Learning Indicators and Learning Outcomes for Elementary Stage, Trilingual Dictionary in Geography, NISHTHA module, e-content in Geography etc. She was also involved in the development of B Ed syllabus and textbook at the Council.
Arijit Ghosh
Arijit has been associated with the K-12 education domain for close to two decades. Having a rich experience in the fields of policy advocacy, academic research, teacher training, large-scale assessments, teacher audits, curriculum design on 21st century skills and digital innovation in work space, his biggest strengths lie in mentoring action researchers to help germinate novel ideas in the classrooms and guiding leaders to bring about systemic changes in the schools. He has successfully managed several capacity-building programmes, mainly in the area of 21st-century skills involving organisations like DfID, MacArthur Foundation, UNICEF and multiple state governments.
Arijit was awarded with the global teacher accreditation award by Cambridge Foundation in 2014 for his work on critical thinking skills.
Having started his career as a teacher, he has held senior positions at Macmillan Publishers India Limited, Pearson Education and British Council India. He is currently the Vice President at Education Quality Foundation of India, where he works towards empowering institutions to improve their quality of teaching-learning. He is also the adviser for Global Citizenship Education Foundation. He is a regular speaker at several national and international conferences and also writes for educational magazines. During the pandemic times, Arijit has led his organisation in designing unique assessment modules and also framing a social and emotional well-being self-assessment framework for all individuals.
Annie Natarajan
Annie Natarajan is an alumnus of SOAS, London and St Hildas, University of Oxford and holds her National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) from the National College for Teaching and Leadership in the UK. She sits on the board of Nehru World School, Ghaziabad as Director of Recruitment and Development. She is a life long learner who is passionate about impacting childrens lives in and out of education. This has included coaching WHO Senior Managers to deliver inhouse training and recruitment and developing leadership programmes for Shiv Nadar Schools as well as conducting a study tour for Senior leaders to London schools focussing on standards and development planning. She has also consulted for The Heritage group of schools and other prestigious schools across India. Annie was part of the founding leadership team of STIR Education which operates in Government schools across India and Uganda reaching 200,000 teachers and 6 million children. Annie is an accredited Master Trainer for the British Council as well as being a registered British Schools Inspector.
She is delighted to act as an advisory board member for Aanganchaura as her most challenging experience as a parent and teacher was homeschooling her children across two continents during the covid 19 pandemic.

Reema Dhawan
Dr Reema Dhawan, an Edupreneur and Director of EduSmile Learning Inc., Canada.
Dr. Dhawan is Master in Mathematics (M.Sc.), Master in Business Administration (MBA), Master in Education (M.Ed.), Ph.D. in Mathematics with Canadian Equivalence and an Ontario Certified Teacher licensed to teach in Ontario, Canada.
Her 15+ years experience in the education industry includes teaching and administrative leadership roles in India and Canada. She was also a member of the Mathematics books review committee at NCERT, India. She shifted to Canada in 2016 and started her journey of edupreneurship, ever since then she has mentored and taught numerous students. She was also an active member and co-chair of the School Council for Public School in Canada for the academic year 2017-2018 and 2019-2020. She is an Innovative researcher with experience in the design, delivery, evaluation, and enhancement of effective instructional programs. With her extensive knowledge and experience of curriculum development and curriculum mapping, she is always passionate to provide her expertise in the educational field.
